Yad L'Achim Relaunches Sukkot Guide for Outreach Efforts

The organization Yad L'Achim has reissued a foundational outreach booklet detailing the commandments and customs of the Sukkot holiday. Originally created decades ago by activists within the organization, founded by Rabbi Shalom Dov Lifshitz, the comprehensive guide has been updated with revised language and a new, user-friendly design.

This year, Yad L'Achim decided to republish the booklet to reach thousands of individuals they engage with. The updated version has also been translated into Russian and Arabic to cater to diverse audiences. Yad L'Achim activists are currently distributing the booklet across all their branches throughout Israel.

The booklet covers various topics related to Sukkot, including the construction and dwelling in the Sukkah, the Four Species (Arba'at HaMinim), the holiday's eve, the intermediate days (Chol HaMoed), and Simchat Torah. It aims to make the holiday's traditions and meanings accessible to the wider public.

A spokesperson for Yad L'Achim stated, "This booklet is like old wine that only gets better. In the magnificent vessel it is now served, and with the right adaptations, it makes the treasures and secrets of the holiday accessible to the masses of the people of Israel."
