Nadvorna Jerusalem Rebbe Urges Nightly Study of Sukkah Tractate Ahead of Sukkot

The Nadvorna Hasidic community in Jerusalem convened a significant gathering to strengthen communal Torah study each evening. During the event, the Nadvorna Rebbe delivered a sacred address, urging his followers to engage in nightly study of one page from the Talmudic tractate Sukkah as preparation for the upcoming Sukkot holiday. This initiative was launched under the newly established Torah organization "Gadlu," named after a historic Torah scroll dedication by the late Nadvorna Rebbe, the Baal Be'er Yaakov.

The "Gadlu" organization aims to unify all Torah activities within the Nadvorna court. Its first project, "The Daily Hour," encourages Hasidim to gather in all community study halls between 9:00 and 10:00 PM for focused Torah learning. The event featured a special panel discussing Torah study methods according to Hasidic Rebbes, with inspiring speeches by community rabbinic leaders including Rabbi Eliezer Haltovsky and Rabbi Leibsh Karniel from the Belz Hasidic leadership.

At the conclusion, many Hasidim approached the Rebbe to present their commitments to Torah study, receiving his personal blessings. The Rebbe also distributed small dishes of honey to all attendees as a symbolic gesture for a sweet new year, coinciding with the approach of Rosh Hashanah. The gathering underscored the community's dedication to Torah study and spiritual preparation for the High Holidays.
