Yavne Announces Packed Sukkot Holiday Program for Families

The city of Yavne is set to host a comprehensive range of family-friendly activities throughout the Sukkot holiday, blending culture, nature, and history. The central event is a large Sukkot festival at the Yavne Amphitheater on Wednesday, September 30th, featuring children's entertainers like Yuval HaMabulbal, Shiri Pop, Laloosh, and Itzik HaLeitzan, along with DJ Lavi Stern for a parent-child party. Tickets cost 15 shekels for ages three and up, with support from the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

Additional events include a dog adoption day on Sunday, September 27th, at Beit Chinuch Merhavim, offering adoptions from rescue organizations, pet product sales, and professional guidance. A family cycling tour, "Around Yavne," will depart from the Rope Park on Monday, September 28th, with 8.5 km and 11.5 km route options suitable for children aged six and up who can ride without training wheels. The participation fee is 15 shekels.

Cultural offerings include a screening of "Minions and Monsters" at the Cinematheque on Monday, September 28th, and a children's play, "Yael's House," at the Yavne Cultural Hall on Tuesday, September 29th. On the same day, Tel Yavne will host family activities from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., including guided tours, an "Art of Touch" exhibition, and workshops, in cooperation with the Israel Antiquities Authority and the Ministry of Heritage.

Discovering Yavne's secrets will be the focus of a guided tour on Thursday, October 1st, starting from Rabban Gamliel's tomb, exploring historical sites like the first police building and a Mamluk bridge. The program concludes on Thursday, October 1st, with a family movie, "Spider-Man: A New Day," at the Cinematheque, and a major concert by Ravid Plotnik at the Yavne Amphitheater.
