Yavne to Host Sukkot Market for Four Species and Holiday Goods
In anticipation of the Sukkot holiday, the Yavne Municipality, in cooperation with the Religious Council, will open a municipal market dedicated to the "Four Species" and other holiday items. The market, located on the Germanov Community Center pedestrian street near the municipal parking lot, aims to centralize preparations for Sukkot, one of the three pilgrimage festivals. It will offer residents a variety of products, including the Four Species (etrog, lulav, hadassim, aravot), schach (sukkah roofing), decorations, and related goods, creating a festive commercial space.
The market will operate from September 22nd to September 25th. Hours are: Tuesday, September 22nd, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM; Wednesday, September 23rd, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM; Thursday, September 24th, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM; and Friday, September 25th (Erev Chag), from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Merchants will be permitted to set up stalls free of charge, provided they register in advance. Registration can be completed on the Religious Council's website or at their offices located at 7 HaLilach Street. Office hours for registration are Sunday to Thursday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM, with an additional afternoon slot on Tuesdays from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
