Liberman Unveils 'Dangerous' West Bank Plan, Criticizing Netanyahu

Avigdor Liberman, chairman of Yisrael Beiteinu, presented his plan for the future of Israeli control in the West Bank on Wednesday, responding to sharp criticism from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Liberman asserted that Israel must establish territorial contiguity across all of Area C, maintaining absolute control, while simultaneously finding an alternative for administrative and security oversight in Areas A and B.

Liberman strongly attacked Netanyahu's policies, stating that the Prime Minister himself had expressed willingness to establish a Palestinian state in the Bar Ilan speech. He accused Netanyahu of expelling Jews from Gush Katif, releasing Yahya Sinwar and over a thousand other terrorists, and facilitating Qatari money transfers to Gaza, arguing this disqualified him from moralizing.

"The Palestinian Authority is a terror organization, and the division between it and Hamas is clear. Hamas specializes in armed terror, and the Palestinian Authority in political terror," Liberman declared. He expressed strong opposition to Israel managing the lives of Palestinians in cities like Nablus, Jenin, or Tulekarm.

To prevent a vacuum that could be filled by Hamas, Islamic Jihad, and other militants, Liberman proposed reaching an agreement with Jordan for them to manage Areas A and B, suggesting an Israeli-Jordanian confederation.
