Liberman Suggests Jordan Administer West Bank Areas; Netanyahu Rebukes
Avigdor Liberman, chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu party, proposed in an interview with "Besh'va" that Jordan assume responsibility for administering Areas B and C in the West Bank, including security and administrative control. Liberman argued that the Palestinian issue is more critical for Jordan than for Israel, suggesting they might deploy their army or establish local battalions.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly criticized Liberman's remarks via X (formerly Twitter), stating, "Liberman, I knew you were on the left since you formed a government with Mansour Abbas. But I never believed you would suggest that the Jordanian army would control areas of the Land of Israel. Retract immediately!"
