Argentina's President Celebrates With Jewish Community in New York
Argentine President Javier Milei arrived in New York City on Tuesday ahead of his address at the 81st United Nations General Assembly. As part of his three-day visit, Milei visited the "Darchei Torah" yeshiva in Far Rockaway for a significant meeting with the Jewish community, one day after Yom Kippur.
During the event, which highlighted his close ties with the community since taking office, Milei received the "Love of Israel Award" in recognition of his leadership and defense of the Jewish people and the State of Israel. He addressed the students of the institution and was filmed celebrating and dancing with them to the song "Am Yisrael Chai" (The Jewish People Live).
In addition to his UN address, Milei's schedule includes a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio and various meetings with business and academic figures before his return to Argentina.
