Qatar Emir Slams Israel at UN; Ben-Gvir Responds in Arabic

The Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, strongly criticized Israel in his speech at the United Nations General Assembly, labeling the events in the Gaza Strip as "genocide" and a "stain on all of humanity." He also warned against forced displacement as a solution for Gaza's residents.

In response, Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir posted a message in Arabic on social media, urging the Emir to allow Gazans who wish to emigrate to enter Qatar. Ben-Gvir claimed that Gazans are pleading to leave, but Hamas, with the alleged support of Qatar's leadership, is preventing them from doing so.

Earlier in his UN address, the Qatari Emir described the region as facing one of its most dangerous phases, with the ongoing crisis impacting the entire world. He attributed the situation to years of temporary solutions and unrealistic policies, advocating for dialogue and negotiation to achieve just resolutions to conflicts.

The Emir also accused Israel of attempting to act as a "policeman" in Lebanon. Regarding Gaza, he reiterated his concern about forced migration being presented as a solution.

Ben-Gvir's tweet directly challenged the Emir, stating, "Instead of funding Hamas, open the gates of your country to the residents of Gaza who want to emigrate, and then we will see how many of them will remain in Gaza."
