Qatar Strongly Condemns Former PM Bennett's Threat to Label It an Enemy State
Qatar sharply condemned former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's statement that he would designate Qatar as an enemy state if he were to assume office. Ali Al-Anzari, Qatar's media attaché in the United States, accused Bennett of deliberately spreading disinformation about Qatar to advance his political ambitions.
Al-Anzari emphasized Qatar's recognized role in supporting regional security and stability, highlighting its humanitarian efforts in Gaza, which were coordinated with relevant Israeli authorities and international partners. These efforts have contributed to ceasefires and the release of Israeli hostages held in Gaza.
The Qatari diplomat also noted that Bennett has previously attacked Qatar for political gain and suggested Israeli politicians critical of Qatar should focus on their domestic challenges. Qatar reaffirmed its commitment to its constructive role in promoting peace and security in the region despite Israeli disinformation campaigns.
