Former PM Bennett Vows to Declare Qatar an Enemy State Over Revolutionary Guard Funding

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett stated at the Ynet and Yedioth Ahronoth National Security Conference, in collaboration with the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), that if re-elected, he would declare Qatar an enemy state. Bennett revealed intelligence indicating that Qatar has financed Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. He described Qatar as a "violent anti-Semitic cancer" that spreads its influence across the West, including within the Israeli Prime Minister's office, with the goal of destroying Israel.

Bennett criticized those who label Qatar a "complex" state, asserting that after the events of October 7, the situation is clear. He emphasized that Qatar has spent approximately 25 years building a global influence network that may cause Israel its greatest harm. He also highlighted Qatar's multi-billion-dollar investments in U.S. universities, which he claims indoctrinate young students with anti-Israel slogans such as "From the river to the sea."
