Eyal Berkovich's Son Hospitalized with Severe Shingles Outbreak

Lior Berkovich, son of Israeli football legend Eyal Berkovich, has updated followers on his health after being hospitalized with a severe case of shingles. He shared a video from his hospital bed, visibly unwell, describing the previous night as one of the hardest of his life. "I didn't sleep, one of the hardest nights of my life," he stated, detailing intense pain and immobility. "My whole back is finished, my right leg, the football leg, is crushed. I'm limping, it's hard for me to walk."

The illness, identified as shingles (herpes zoster), is a viral infection resulting from the reactivation of the chickenpox virus, causing severe pain, rash, and blisters. Despite the difficult symptoms and posting photos from treatment with the caption "Shingles really messed me up," Lior maintained his characteristic sense of humor.

In his update, he humorously addressed his mother, asking her to prepare his favorite meal of schnitzel and couscous, and expressed gratitude to his girlfriend and the medical staff for their care. He concluded with a lighthearted "Selfie of screams, onwards."
