Northern Israel Man Indicted for 20 Drug Deals, Including to a Minor

Police in northern Israel have indicted a 40-year-old resident of Kiryat Ata on charges related to 20 drug transactions, including sales to a minor. The discovery was made nearly a month ago when officers stopped a vehicle on Route 66 near the Tishbi Junction. During a search of the car, officers found over 180 grams of drugs, divided into portions, along with electronic cigarettes containing illegal substances.

Further investigation by the police linked the suspect to 20 separate drug deals conducted across several communities in northern Israel. A significant portion of these transactions involved sales to a minor, who purchased drugs from the accused on multiple occasions. The indictment, filed by the Nazareth prosecution unit, includes charges of drug dealing and selling drugs to a minor.

In addition to the indictment, prosecutors have requested that the suspect be held in custody until the end of legal proceedings. They have also asked for the forfeiture of money and mobile phones seized from the suspect. The police stated that they will continue to "act with all available means in the fight against the scourge of drugs, with an emphasis on locating dealers and distributors operating among the public."
