Northern Israel Man Charged with 20 Drug Deals, Including to a Minor

Police in northern Israel have indicted a 40-year-old resident of Kiryat Ata on charges related to 20 drug transactions, including sales to a minor. The discovery was made nearly a month prior when officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 66 near the Tishbi Junction in late August. During a search of the car, officers found over 180 grams of drugs, divided into portions, along with electronic cigarettes containing illegal substances.

Investigators were able to link the suspect to 20 separate drug deals conducted across several communities in the north. A significant portion of these transactions involved sales to a minor, who purchased drugs from the accused on multiple occasions. The indictment, filed by the Nazareth prosecution unit, includes charges of drug dealing and selling drugs to a minor.

The prosecution has requested that the suspect be held in custody until the end of legal proceedings. They have also asked the court to confiscate the money and mobile phones seized from the suspect. The police stated they will continue their efforts to combat drug trafficking, with a focus on identifying dealers and distributors operating within the public.

The suspect appeared before the Magistrate's Court in Nazareth-Nof HaGalil, where the indictment and detention request were submitted.
