Becali indicated a willingness to spend between 3 to 4 million euros on new signings, a significant increase from previous investments.

This strategic shift comes amid speculation about the future of Israeli midfielder Ofir Arad, who currently occupies the defensive midfield role. Arad has not yet made a significant impact at Steaua since joining from Kazakhstan's Kairat.

Romanian reports suggest the club is planning a major overhaul and is actively searching for a high-caliber player, particularly for the defensive midfield position. One potential target mentioned is Lirim Kastrati of Polissya Zhytomyr, valued at approximately 2 million euros.
