After a successful stint with Kazakhstan's Kairat, Arad moved to the Romanian club but has yet to make a substantial impact. Reports from Romania indicate that Steaua is preparing for a major transformation, involving substantial financial investment, with a particular focus on acquiring a high-caliber defensive midfielder, Arad's current position.

Club owner Gigi Becali stated, "The defensive midfield position needs a solution. We will need to significantly strengthen the midfield. I am no longer willing to pay half a million euros, but rather 3 or 4 million. I cannot wait and gamble on players." This suggests a shift towards investing heavily in proven talent rather than developing less experienced players.

One prominent candidate mentioned for the midfield reinforcement is Lyndon Dyrløv, currently with Ukrainian club Polissya Zhytomyr, whose market value is estimated at around 2 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
