New Poll Shows No Bloc Can Form Government Ahead of Israeli Election

With 35 days until Israelis vote for the 26th Knesset, a new poll indicates that no political bloc can currently form a government without the support of Arab parties. The survey, broadcast by Channel 12 News, shows the opposition bloc with 54 mandates and the coalition bloc with 50. Arab parties collectively garnered 12 mandates, while the new "Handel-Zalicha" party, which has not declared allegiance, received 4 mandates. Ofer Winter's new party also secured 4 mandates, raising concerns for both new candidates about crossing the electoral threshold.

If elections were held today, Gadi Eisenkot's "Yashar!" party would lead with 23 mandates, followed by Benjamin Netanyahu's Likud with 20. Naftali Bennett's "Beitecha" party is projected to receive 13 mandates. Avigdor Lieberman's Yisrael Beiteinu and Yair Golan's "HaDemocratim" are each polling at 9 mandates, with Yahadut HaTorah at 8.

Further down the list, the "Joint List" and Shas are each projected to win 7 mandates. Itamar Ben-Gvir's "Otzma Yehudit" is at 6 mandates, while "Religious Zionism" (Smotrich and Feiglin) and Ra'am each receive 5 mandates. The "Amcha Israel" party led by Ofer Winter and "HaMiluimnikim" led by Yoaz Handel and Yaron Zalicha are both at 4 mandates, potentially hovering near the threshold.

Notably, Benny Gantz's "Blue and White" party failed to cross the electoral threshold in this poll, receiving only 0.7% of the vote.
