Earlier, U.S. President Donald Trump had strongly criticized Iran's nuclear program, its support for terrorist groups, and its regional activities during a UN General Assembly address, even suggesting the possibility of Iran's elimination through military action. Iran's Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters has claimed to have intelligence indicating the U.S. is preparing for a large-scale attack, though the basis for this information was not disclosed.
