Dozens Report Vehicle Damage After Fueling at Negev Gas Station

At least 27 drivers are reporting vehicle malfunctions after refueling at a Menta gas station near the Beresheet Hotel in Mitzpe Ramon. Some drivers described engines sputtering, stalling, or smoking, with many vehicles requiring towing to repair shops. According to several drivers, mechanics suggested a potential issue with the fuel. A group has been formed to consolidate information from affected vehicle owners.

Dalkel Israel, the fuel company, stated that an inspection on September 8 found the fuel to be normal. However, a subsequent inspection by the Fuel Administration on September 14 identified an abnormality. Dalkel Israel claims a further sample taken afterward was again found to be normal. The company asserts it currently has no definitive indication of a problem with the fuel supplied at the station.

Despite this, Dalkel Israel announced it has activated its insurance and will cover repairs for affected customers if damage is confirmed. It remains unclear at this stage what caused the malfunctions or if they are all linked to the same refueling incident.
