Ben Gvir Accuses Netanyahu's Office of Signaling International Partners He Won't Be in Next Government

Otzma Yehudit party leader Itamar Ben-Gvir accused Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office on Tuesday of sending explicit messages to foreign countries indicating that Ben-Gvir and his party would not be part of the next coalition government. Ben-Gvir made the accusation in response to a question from a Channel 14 reporter, stating, "There are explicit messages from the Prime Minister's office to the countries of the world."

This public accusation comes amid intense political negotiations and follows the presentation of stringent demands by Otzma Yehudit for the upcoming coalition talks. The party has put forth key ministerial positions as its priorities: the Ministry of Defense for Ben-Gvir and the Ministry of Justice for MK Tali Gottlieb.

Ben-Gvir's proposed security platform includes encouraging voluntary emigration from Gaza and Judea and Samaria, altering open-fire regulations, disarming the Palestinian Authority, and increasing soldiers' salaries. Meanwhile, Gottlieb's agenda focuses on the immediate dismissal of the Attorney General, altering the composition of Supreme Court justice appointments, reducing the grounds for judicial review by the High Court of Justice, and canceling the judicial selection training course.
