Hapoel Tel Aviv Star Douglas Owusu Ranked Among World's Best Young Talents

Douglas Owusu, a standout player for Hapoel Tel Aviv, has been recognized as one of the world's top young talents in a recent study by the CIES Football Observatory. The weekly research ranked players under 21, excluding those in Europe's top five leagues, and Owusu was the sole representative from Israel's Premier League.

Owusu secured the 34th position overall with a score of 78.4 out of 100. He particularly excelled in ball control, earning a score of 77, followed by game building with 67, and finishing at the goal with 69. In the specific category of "ball control" and dribbling, Owusu ranked tenth globally.

The Ghanaian winger, who was Hapoel Tel Aviv's most expensive acquisition, has already made a significant impact this season. He has scored two goals in his five appearances in the Premier League, achieving this in his first two starts for the team. Owusu was brought in to replace Luizão, who moved to Red Star Belgrade, before Owusu himself was sold to Hapoel Tel Aviv by Hodorov.
