Otzma Yehudit Celebrates Potential Knesset Expulsion of Arab Lawmaker

Member of Knesset Tally Gottlieb, who recently joined Itamar Ben-Gvir's Otzma Yehudit party, celebrated what she termed another achievement for Ben-Gvir regarding the potential expulsion of Arab lawmaker Sami Abu Shehadeh. Gottlieb stated that for four years, Ben-Gvir and Otzma Yehudit members have been gathering materials on "terror supporters in the Knesset." She highlighted Ben-Gvir's petition against Abu Shehadeh, which she claims was backed by extensive evidence.

Gottlieb asserted that Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara, facing no other choice, recommended that the Central Elections Committee seriously consider disqualifying Abu Shehadeh, whom she described as a "terror supporter who encouraged the October inferno," from running for the Knesset. Otzma Yehudit's stated goal, according to Gottlieb, is to remove all terror supporters from the Knesset and they will not rest until the last one is gone.

Earlier, Otzma Yehudit issued a statement regarding the Attorney General's response. The party criticized the Attorney General for not unequivocally stating that Abu Shehadeh should be disqualified, suggesting this indicates she is unfit for her role. Otzma Yehudit claims their petition is detailed and well-reasoned, presenting evidence that they believe the state itself should have collected. The party accused the Attorney General of repeatedly siding with "terrorists and terror supporters" instead of the Israeli people.

Otzma Yehudit concluded by stating that the evidence they have gathered proves Abu Shehadeh and the Ra'am party must be removed from the Israeli Knesset, reiterating their commitment to expelling terror supporters from the parliament.
