Former MK Sami Abu Shehadeh Hospitalized After Hotel Fall
Former Knesset member and head of the National Democratic Assembly party, Sami Abu Shehadeh, was hospitalized on Tuesday morning after slipping and sustaining injuries at a hotel in the northern region of Israel. Abu Shehadeh stated that he is in good condition but doctors want him to remain in the hospital for further observation.
Abu Shehadeh's hospitalization comes as the Central Elections Committee is scheduled to convene on Wednesday to discuss a request to disqualify his candidacy and the joint list. His legal representative, Dr. Hassan Jabareen, director of Adalah, has requested a postponement of Abu Shehadeh's appearance before the committee until Thursday, or alternatively, that he be allowed to appear via Zoom.
