Boy George Announces November Concert in Tel Aviv

British pop icon Boy George is set to perform in Israel for a single concert on November 4th at the Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv. The announcement was made Tuesday by Live Nation Israel and producers Guy Besser and Shay Mor Yosef. The show is part of the singer's international tour and will feature a 360-degree stage setup in the center of the arena.

Boy George, born George Alan O'Dowd, rose to fame in the 1980s as the frontman of Culture Club, becoming a prominent pop star known for hits like "Karma Chameleon" and "Do You Really Want to Hurt Me." He later pursued a solo career, worked as a DJ, and created the musical "Taboo."

In May, he participated in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna alongside singer Senhit, performing "Superstar," which represented San Marino. Earlier, they won the country's pre-selection contest with the same song.

In July, Boy George released "We Will Dance Again," a song inspired by the October 7th Hamas attack and the massacre at the Nova festival. Initially shared on social media, the song included Hebrew lyrics and expressed support for Israel and the Jewish community. Boy George stated that he used artificial intelligence in the song's creation process.

Boy George has performed in Israel before, including with Culture Club in Tel Aviv in 2017. During that visit, he publicly addressed calls for boycotting Israel. Ticket sales for the upcoming concert begin Wednesday at noon on the Ticketmaster website, with prices ranging from 280 to 799 shekels.
