Samaria Regional Council Head Demands Military Operation After Settler's Killing

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, eulogized Natanel Shicron, who was killed in a terrorist attack, and called on the Israeli government to launch a significant military operation. Dagan pledged continued support to Shicron's family, promising to stand by them and uphold his legacy. He then addressed the government, stating that the entire nation expects a strong response to the "abominable murder."

Specifically, Dagan demanded that the government authorize a substantial military operation, reinstate roadblocks in the area, and conduct operations to collect illegal weapons. He also called for a change in approach to address the underlying infrastructure supporting terrorism, including villages that harbor terrorists and imams who incite violence. Dagan concluded by emphasizing that Israel must exact a heavy price on the ground for such attacks, asserting, "This is our land."
