Man Dies in Road Accident Near Shfaram

A man in his 50s died Monday evening following a road accident near the city of Shfaram. Local sources identified the victim as Abdullah Muhammad Abu Shah, a resident of Shfaram. Medical personnel responding to the scene reported receiving a call at 6:39 PM about the crash. They provided initial treatment to the man, who was in critical condition with a head injury, before transporting him by intensive care unit to the hospital. His death was pronounced shortly after his arrival, as resuscitation efforts failed.

According to data from the National Road Safety Authority, 325 people have died in road accidents across Israel this year, including 126 Arab citizens. This represents a 21% increase in fatalities among Arab citizens compared to the same period last year. Arab citizens account for approximately 41% of all road accident fatalities this year, despite making up only about 21% of the population, including East Jerusalem and the occupied Golan Heights. This disparity highlights a significant gap in road accident exposure and fatal outcomes between the Arab community and the rest of the population.
