Five Children Injured in Accidents During Yom Kippur Holiday

During Yom Kippur, five children sustained injuries requiring medical attention across several Israeli cities. Two cases were classified as moderate, and one child suffered a severe injury.

In Beit Shemesh, an 11-year-old girl was injured on a playground when she was hit by a carousel, sustaining head and limb injuries. After receiving initial treatment from United Hatzalah paramedics, she was transported to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in moderate condition.

In Bnei Brak, a 4-year-old girl fell from a playground structure approximately four meters high, hitting her head. United Hatzalah provided initial medical care before she was evacuated to Schneider Children's Medical Center in Petah Tikva, also in moderate condition. In a separate incident in Bnei Brak, an 11-year-old girl suffered burns at home when a urn of boiling water overturned on her. She was treated by United Hatzalah and taken to Sheba Medical Center, Tel Hashomer, in moderate condition.

In Beitar Illit, a 4-year-old boy fell from a chair in his home, hitting his head and suffering a severe injury. He received initial medical care from United Hatzalah and was evacuated to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in serious condition.

Additionally, in Jerusalem, an 8-year-old boy fell approximately seven meters from a corrugated metal roof into a synagogue, sustaining moderate injuries. Paramedics provided initial treatment, including stopping bleeding and stabilization, before he was taken by ambulance to the trauma room at Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital.
