Israeli Forces Conduct Widespread Field Interrogations of Palestinians in West Bank

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club reported that the Israeli military is intensifying systematic field interrogations of Palestinians in the West Bank, describing it as a primary tool during raids and incursions. Over two days, Israeli forces conducted these interrogations on more than 100 individuals, with a particular focus on the towns of Al-Mughayyir and Biddu. The military operation in Biddu is ongoing, involving house searches, detentions, and field interrogations. Israeli forces have reportedly established an interrogation and detention center within a seized home in Biddu, holding dozens of young men while also engaging in vandalism, destruction, and physical assault. Detainees' hands were bound and eyes covered during these interrogations.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Club stated that these field interrogations are accompanied by systematic policies including abuse, destruction of property, threats, intimidation, and confiscation of money, belongings, and electronic devices, especially mobile phones, which are searched and used for pressure. Detainees are held for hours in harsh conditions, with some homes converted into military posts. The club also alleged that Palestinians are being used as hostages and human shields.

These intensified field interrogations coincide with a rise in settler attacks against Palestinians and their property across the West Bank. The club views this as a synchronized escalation of assaults and violations against Palestinians of all ages, including children, women, and the elderly, as part of a continuous system of arrest, abuse, and pressure.
