Kfar Qara School Strike Suspended After Cleanliness Issues Addressed

Students at Al-Hiwarna Elementary School in Kfar Qara, Israel, returned to classes on Monday after a planned strike was called off. The strike, organized by the Parents' Committee, was set to protest ongoing cleanliness issues at the school. The decision to suspend the strike followed a meeting between the Parents' Committee and the local municipality, along with an inspection tour of the school facilities. Cleaning crews were dispatched and worked throughout the day to ensure the school was ready to receive students.

The Parents' Committee had announced the strike on Sunday evening, urging parents not to send their children to school due to what they described as persistent and unresolved sanitation problems. Despite repeated appeals to responsible authorities, the committee stated that no effective solutions had been implemented. However, after observing the situation firsthand and coordinating with the municipality, the committee opted to suspend the industrial action and resume normal educational activities.
