Israeli Lawmaker Appeals to Egypt Over Missing Negev Youths

Israeli lawmaker Walid Al-Huwashla has appealed to Egyptian authorities to investigate the disappearance of three young men from the Negev region who went missing in Sharm El Sheikh on March 20. The missing individuals have been identified as Bilal Hassan Masoudin Al-Waleedi, Bilal Salam Al-Afshak, and Ahmed Odeh Al-Doji. Their families have lost contact with them for months and have not received any official information regarding their whereabouts or fate.

Al-Huwashla urged Egyptian leadership, government, and relevant agencies to urgently intervene in the case. He emphasized the need for a humanitarian effort to resolve the mystery surrounding the young men's location and to facilitate communication between them and their families. The lawmaker stated that any official information would help end the prolonged period of anxiety and uncertainty his constituents' families are enduring.

In his appeal, Al-Huwashla directly requested the Egyptian authorities to "intervene urgently with the competent authorities to reveal the fate of the young men, and enable them to communicate with their families, out of compassion for their families and to put an end to their continuous suffering and anxiety." The lawmaker stressed the importance of allowing the young men to contact their families, noting that official information would end the long wait and worry experienced by their families.
