Families Seek Answers on Disappearance of Three Negev Youths in Sharm El Sheikh

Three young men from the Negev region of Israel have been missing for six months after traveling to Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, sparking deep anxiety among their families who are awaiting official information regarding their fate. Bilal Hassan Masoudin Al-Walidi, Bilal Salam Al-Afshak, and Ahmed Odeh Al-Doji departed the Negev on March 20, just before the second day of Eid al-Fitr, and their communication ceased shortly thereafter. Their families have received no contact since, and the circumstances of their disappearance remain unknown.

According to the families, the youths were staying at a hotel in Sharm El Sheikh when hotel management informed them that Egyptian police and intelligence had taken them. However, the families have not received official confirmation from Egyptian authorities regarding this claim, nor do they have reliable information about their whereabouts or whether they are being detained.

Efforts by the families to elicit information from both Egyptian and Israeli authorities have so far yielded no clear answers. The families are now appealing to both governments for urgent action to uncover the fate of the three young men, confirm if they are detained, ascertain their location, and understand why their families have not been officially informed.

They are also requesting that the youths be allowed to contact their families and receive necessary legal assistance if they are in detention. The families have issued a public appeal for anyone with reliable information or who may have seen the young men in Sharm El Sheikh to come forward, emphasizing their primary concern is their safety and location.
