Israeli Forces Kill Palestinian in Attempted West Bank Car Ramming Attack
The Israeli military announced that its forces thwarted an attempted car ramming attack targeting soldiers in the Janim area, north of the West Bank, on Sunday. According to the military's statement, soldiers opened fire on the assailant, killing him without any Israeli casualties. Palestinian sources reported that a young man was killed by Israeli occupation forces near the tourist village of Haddad, east of Jenin. The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated that the General Authority of Civil Affairs informed them of the death of Sami Hassan Hussein Zawaideh, 32, by occupation fire. Palestinian sources also reported that occupation forces fired at the vehicle, resulting in the death of one young man and the injury of another, while withholding the body. These forces also prevented Palestinian Red Crescent crews from approaching the scene.
