IDF Foils Terror Attack in Samaria, Neutralizing Driver
Israeli forces neutralized a terrorist who attempted to carry out a vehicle ramming attack against soldiers in the Ganim area of the Menashe Brigade on Sunday. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that no soldiers were harmed in the incident.
Following the thwarted attack, Head of the Samaria Regional Council Yossi Dagan praised the soldiers for their decisive action. He stated, "This incident proves once again that we must increase offensive activity in the terror villages and bring back security checkpoints. We must not allow terror to raise its head."
The thwarted ramming attempt occurred about an hour after a separate shooting attack in the Benjamin region. A man in his 30s was critically wounded by gunfire from a passing vehicle near the settlement of Neve Tzuf. The assailant fled on foot, prompting a large-scale manhunt involving IDF units, including the Benjamin Regional Brigade and the Duvdevan Unit, along with Israeli police. Roadblocks were established, and forces conducted a ground and aerial search using drones and Air Force assets.
