Hapoel Acre Appoints Yaakov Hillel as Professional Director

Hapoel Acre, currently in last place in the National League, has appointed former player Yaakov Hillel as its professional director. The move aims to help the team recover from a poor start to the season. Hillel, a decorated figure in Israeli football history, will take on both managerial and professional responsibilities, leveraging his extensive experience to support coach Lior De Kalbo. He will also be present on the team's bench during matches, a role he previously fulfilled with Modiin last season under coach Erez Ben-Odis.

Following the Yom Kippur holiday, the club plans to advance discussions with Omer Dahan, who is expected to return from a lengthy suspension, and with Roi Zikri, who has concluded his time at Bnei Reineh. Additionally, Hapoel Acre has signed defender Souleymane Coulibaly. Coulibaly is scheduled to arrive in Israel next week for his second stint in Israeli football. His previous tenure included a failed period with Hapoel Hadera in the Premier League, followed by a release and an unsuccessful stint in the National League.
