Hapoel Acre Appoints Israeli Football Legend Yaakov Hillel as Professional Director

Hapoel Acre, currently last in the National League, has appointed Yaakov Hillel as its professional director. The club hopes Hillel, a decorated former Israeli footballer, will help the team recover from a poor start to the season. He will handle both managerial and professional duties, leveraging his extensive experience to assist coach Lior D'Cohen, similar to his role last season with Eran Ben-Naim in Modi'in. Hillel will also be present on the team's bench during matches.

In addition to Hillel's appointment, the club plans to advance discussions with Omer Dahan, who is expected to return from a lengthy suspension, and Roi Zikri, who finished his contract with Bnei Yehuda. Hapoel Acre has also signed defender Souleymane Coulibaly, who is set to arrive next week for his second stint in Israeli football. His previous tenure in Israel saw him released by Hapoel Hadera after unsuccessful spells in both the Premier League and the National League.
