Teen Driver Arrested After Reckless Motorcycle Chase With 7-Year-Old Passenger

An 18-year-old Arab man was arrested in the village of Yassif on Sunday after leading police on a dangerous chase while carrying his 7-year-old cousin on a motorcycle, with neither wearing helmets. Border Police motorcycle officers on a targeted enforcement operation noticed the scooter rider with an unsecured passenger and signaled him to stop. Instead, the rider fled, endangering himself, the child, and other road users by driving recklessly and against traffic.

Border Police officers pursued the scooter. When the rider realized he was being caught, he abandoned the motorcycle and attempted to escape on foot towards a nearby house. Officers continued the pursuit on foot and apprehended him.

During questioning, it was revealed the rider was 18 years old and the passenger was his 7-year-old cousin. The suspect was taken for police investigation and faces significant fines and traffic violation points for his dangerous driving. The incident highlights ongoing efforts to combat dangerous driving and risks associated with two-wheeled vehicles.
