Bat Yam Man Charged with Sex Crimes Against Minors Online

Police announced today the conclusion of a sensitive investigation by Bat Yam police in the Ayalon region, leading to a charge statement against a 20-year-old Bat Yam resident suspected of committing sexual offenses against minors he contacted via social media. The case began in June 2026 after a report was filed to the 105 hotline about a suspect who contacted minors online, sometimes impersonating a minor, and is suspected of threatening and sexually assaulting them.

During the investigation, police identified and arrested the suspect, whose detention was extended multiple times. Investigations revealed that from early 2025 until June 2026, the suspect allegedly contacted six minors, aged 13 to 17, through social media. He demanded intimate photos and threatened them or their families if they refused.

Following the collection of evidence, prosecutors filed a charge statement today. An indictment is expected in the coming days.
