Masked Robbers Steal Wedding Gifts from Arab Couple in Baka el-Gharbia

Three masked men brazenly robbed a wedding in the Arab town of Baka el-Gharbia on Tuesday, making off with the cash gifts intended for the newlyweds. The perpetrators arrived in a car, fired shots into the air to intimidate guests, seized a box containing envelopes of money, and fled the scene, firing more shots as they left to deter anyone from pursuing them. The wedding, described as a lavish event with hundreds of guests, was disrupted by the incident. Witnesses reported that each guest contributed at least several hundred shekels, suggesting the stolen amount could be over one hundred thousand shekels. Police believe the robbers likely planned the heist in advance, possibly having prior knowledge of the venue and the location of the cash box. The robbery was executed quickly and without any injuries. Authorities are currently reviewing surveillance footage to track the getaway vehicle and identify the suspects, but no arrests have been reported yet.
