Robbery and Shooting Erupt During Event at Hall in Baka al-Gharbiyya; Police Launch Manhunt
Police in Baka al-Gharbiyya launched an investigation Saturday evening into a robbery and shooting incident that occurred during an event at a local hall. No injuries were reported. Following the report, numerous police forces from the Baka al-Gharbiyya station were dispatched to the scene and initiated extensive searches for the suspects who fled.
Details regarding the circumstances of the robbery, the suspects' identities, or the property stolen have not yet been released. The police are continuing to investigate the incident and search for those involved. The investigation is ongoing.
This event occurs against a backdrop of several serious violent incidents in the area recently. Just last week, three young men were found deceased inside a car that had caught fire in an open area near Baka al-Gharbiyya. Rescue forces pronounced them dead, and police opened a murder investigation.
Less than a month prior, on August 24, two men were injured in a shooting incident in Baka al-Gharbiyya. A man in his 30s was taken to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in serious condition, and another man, around 25 years old, was in moderate condition. Police stated at the time that the motive was likely criminal. In April, a fatal shooting also occurred in the city, resulting in the death of Oudi Ayad, approximately 30 years old, who was critically wounded by gunfire. Paramedics attempted resuscitation but were unable to save him on the way to the hospital. Police also indicated a criminal motive for that incident.
