Settlers Launch 14 Attacks Across West Bank, Stealing Livestock and Cutting Water Supply

Settlers carried out 14 attacks across four West Bank governorates on Saturday, according to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission. The attacks included shooting at homes in the village of Al-Mughayyir, stealing approximately 300 sheep, and severing a water line.

In the Ramallah and al-Bireh Governorate, six incidents occurred, including firing shots at homes in Al-Mughayyir, pepper-spraying residents, damaging an ambulance, assaulting a citizen, and stealing olive crops. Around 300 sheep were reportedly stolen from the Al-Hayan area in Deir Dibwan.

In the Hebron Governorate, settlers cut the main water line supplying the village of Ad-Daqqa, depriving about 700 residents of water. They also burned an agricultural shed and harassed a family, forcing them to move their tent from the ruins of their demolished home.

Attacks in Nablus included settlers roaming near homes in the town of Lubban al-Sharqiya and stealing equipment from agricultural lands in the village of An-Naqura. In Bethlehem, settlers reportedly chased shepherds in the village of Za'atara, drove their livestock onto private lands, and gathered near homes in the Wadi Abu Njeim area.

The commission stated these attacks are part of a broader strategy by Israeli occupation forces to undermine Palestinian security, property, water resources, and livelihoods, aiming to displace Palestinians. The commission urged the international community to move beyond condemnation to provide actual protection and accountability. In August, settlers reportedly committed 628 attacks across the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. In June, UN special rapporteurs warned that settler violence, with alleged Israeli state support, poses an existential threat to Palestinian communities.
