Hasidic Leader Performs Tashlikh Ritual by Yarkon River
On the 13th of the Hebrew month of Elul, Rabbi Yoel Moshe Friedman, the Rebbe of Mielczan, led his followers in the traditional Tashlikh ceremony. The event took place on the banks of the Yarkon River, near the 'Kiryat Ayelet HaShachar' neighborhood in Bnei Brak, where many of his Hasidic community reside.
Before reciting the Tashlikh prayers, which involve symbolically casting away sins, the Rebbe performed a ritual washing of his hands. He used a cup filled with water from the Yarkon River for this purpose. Following this, the Rebbe led the assembled Hasidim in the Tashlikh service with great fervor, according to observers.
