Yad Sarah Promotes Home Hospitalization With Advanced Medical Equipment

The Israeli non-profit organization Yad Sarah is expanding its comprehensive home hospitalization services, providing advanced medical equipment that allows patients to recover and rehabilitate at home, close to their families. The organization, which operates 127 branches across Israel and relies on thousands of volunteers, aims to assist individuals seeking home care.

Moishe Cohen, CEO of Yad Sarah, explained that the organization's goal is to enable people to heal at home. "We have all the equipment, which the volunteers provide to every patient who wants to go home and be with their families," Cohen stated, emphasizing that medical equipment is the key to enabling this.

Volunteers deliver essential items such as hospital beds, patient lifts, and specialized chairs to patients' homes. Nehemia Greenberg, a volunteer, noted that these items significantly ease the burden on patients. Moshe Teichler, a district manager for the organization, added that their vision is being realized, allowing patients to remain in their natural environment. He highlighted specialized equipment like pressure-reducing mattresses, distress transmitters, and even stair-climbing wheelchairs that enable patients to leave their homes for activities like prayer.

Beyond equipment, Yad Sarah offers a 24/7 remote monitoring system that tracks vital signs. Medical professionals oversee patients remotely, facilitating early discharge from hospitals and rehabilitation centers. Cohen mentioned that the service is also available for soldiers injured in the recent conflict, allowing them to return home. The organization is appealing for public support to continue its mission.
