Social Media Influencers Embark on Spiritual Journey to Jewish Holy Sites

Following the October 7th attacks, a renewed interest in Jewish tradition and identity has surged among many Israelis, particularly the younger generation. This connection is increasingly being fostered through social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram stories, rather than traditional religious sermons.

To bridge this gap, Sharon Adam, mother of fallen soldier Omer Adam, and educator Bracha Shilat have organized a spiritual journey for a group of social media influencers. The "Selichot journey," a series of penitential prayers recited in the days leading up to Yom Kippur, began in Kfar Chabad and will include visits to significant religious sites such as Rachel's Tomb and the Western Wall.

The initiative aims to leverage the influencers' reach to connect a wider audience, especially young people, with their Jewish heritage and the spiritual significance of the High Holy Days. The journey highlights a modern approach to religious observance and identity building, utilizing contemporary communication channels to convey traditional messages.
