Iran Executes Man Convicted of Spying for Israel
Iran announced on Saturday that it had executed Hossein Fedran, who was convicted of espionage for Israel and providing intelligence to the Mossad. According to Iran's judiciary, Fedran was hanged after the country's Supreme Court upheld his death sentence.
Iranian authorities claim Fedran provided the Mossad with information on sensitive military sites and missile launch sites in the central Isfahan province. Tehran also alleged that Fedran acted in exchange for money.
The judiciary's news agency, Mizan, reported that the intelligence Fedran supplied allegedly aided Israel in attacks during the "With All Your Might" war, including strikes on a missile launch site in the Isfahan region. Fedran was convicted of espionage and intelligence cooperation with Israel.
