Iran Executes Man Convicted of Spying for Israel's Mossad
Iran has executed Hossein Fedran, who was convicted of espionage for Israel's Mossad intelligence agency, according to Iranian media reports. Fedran was reportedly arrested for gathering and transmitting classified information about military and missile sites near Isfahan, as well as details concerning personnel at military factories, to the Israeli intelligence service. Iranian authorities claim Fedran was motivated by financial gain when he contacted Mossad. During a search of his residence, security forces reportedly found a notebook containing "top secret" data. Tehran alleges that the information Fedran collected could have been used to target Iranian territory during the recent 12-day conflict. The execution was carried out after the Supreme Court of Iran officially ratified the death sentence.
