East Jerusalem Man Arrested in Connection with Missing Woman's Death
Police have arrested a man in his 60s from East Jerusalem on suspicion of murder and involvement in the disappearance of 61-year-old Fatma Rajabi, who has been missing since the beginning of the week. The arrest followed an intensive investigation throughout the week.
Following the suspect's apprehension, officers discovered a scene in East Jerusalem where a woman's body was found. The identity of the deceased has not yet been confirmed. The body has been transferred to the Forensic Institute for identification and determination of the cause of death.
The suspect is currently being interrogated on suspicion of murder. He is expected to appear before the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court on Saturday, where police will request an extension of his detention.
