Missing Woman Found Dead in East Jerusalem; Suspect Arrested
Police located the body of Fatma Rajabi, a 61-year-old woman from East Jerusalem who had been missing for nearly a week, on Friday evening. The discovery followed the arrest of a man in his 60s, also an East Jerusalem resident, on suspicion of her murder.
Extensive searches for Rajabi had been conducted in the Abu Ghosh area in recent days, with a gag order placed on the investigation. Officers from the Shalam and Oz stations in the Jerusalem district apprehended the suspect on Friday. Following the arrest, investigative and operational activities led to the identification of a location in East Jerusalem where the woman's body was found.
The body was transferred to the Forensic Institute for identification and to determine the circumstances of her death.
