Taiba High School Opens Digital Library to Foster Modern Learning
The Atid Al-Majd Comprehensive High School in Taiba, Israel, has inaugurated a new digital library aimed at promoting modern education, innovation, and self-directed learning. The library is designed to be an advanced space for research, knowledge acquisition, and technological engagement, offering students new avenues for future development.
The opening ceremony was attended by representatives from the Taiba municipality, the education department, the parent-teacher association, the Atid network, and the school staff. This initiative aligns with the school's educational vision, which prioritizes the student at the center of the learning process and seeks to enhance skills relevant to the current era, including critical thinking, independence, creativity, and effective knowledge utilization.
The digital library provides students with access to diverse educational resources and content, fostering an environment that encourages reading, research, and project development. School principal Mona Masarwa stated that the library represents a "new window to the future," emphasizing the goal of cultivating students who actively seek knowledge and build it themselves. She added that modern schools should equip students with the tools and confidence to shape their futures, moving beyond mere knowledge transfer to teaching research skills and critical source evaluation.
Notable attendees at the event included Taiba Mayor Yahya Ayyash, Ibrahim Dassan, Director of the Municipal Education Department, and other municipal officials and parent representatives. School administration highlighted the crucial role of partnerships with the municipality, parents, and the Atid network in enhancing the educational environment and investing in students. Special thanks were extended to Yossi Mamo, Director General of the Atid network, for his support.
The school concluded the event with a message emphasizing that the digital library marks the beginning of a new phase where students are researchers, information is accessible, technology serves education, and the future is open to all.
