Israel Opens First AI-Powered Digital School in Migdal HaEmek

Israel's first AI-powered digital school, "Campus Sci-Tech," officially opened its doors in Migdal HaEmek on Wednesday, marking a significant shift in the country's educational landscape. The school operates entirely without traditional textbooks, notebooks, or writing materials, utilizing advanced technology for all learning.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his wife, the Minister of Education, the Director of the Northern District of the Ministry of Education Orna Simhon, and the Chief Rabbi of the city Rabbi Yitzhak Dovid Grossman, alongside council members, educators, and hundreds of students.

Campus Sci-Tech features a unique pedagogical model where learning exclusively occurs on advanced tablets. These devices integrate theoretical studies with cyber subjects. Each classroom is equipped with a smart screen that teachers use to deliver lessons and assignments in real-time, which are then directly downloaded to the students' tablets.

During the ceremony, Prime Minister Netanyahu inaugurated the school, stating, "I am happy, proud, and excited to be in Migdal HaEmek. Migdal HaEmek is a city that is developing with tens of thousands of young people coming to it. We are very happy that Migdal HaEmek is progressing greatly, and we will help it with all our might to advance and develop." He also praised the mayor for the initiative, adding, "I will do everything so that Migdal HaEmek grows and develops."

Migdal HaEmek Mayor Yaki Ben Haim expressed his pride, calling the school a model for all of Israel. He highlighted the city's transformation from vocational training in the past to teaching cyber, development, and AI today, emphasizing that this prepares students for future careers in technology and innovation, with the potential for groundbreaking developments to emerge from the periphery.
