Keyonte George, the rising star of the Utah Jazz, has agreed to a five-year contract extension worth $157.5 million. The deal was finalized on Friday after months of negotiations between George's agent, Jason Raine, and Jazz president Austin Ainge.
George's new contract will represent approximately 16% of the Jazz's salary cap and includes no team or player options. The Jazz organization views George and Darin Peterson, the second overall pick in this year's draft, as a future dynamic backcourt pairing.
