The NBA free-agent market is moving quickly, with several players already signing extensions. On Sunday, Atlanta reached a one-year, $21 million deal with C.J. McCollum, keeping the veteran guard off the market.
McCollum averaged 18.7 points and 4.1 assists per game this season and was especially effective in Atlanta’s playoff series against New York, where the team went up 2-1 before eventually being eliminated by the champions.
Phoenix also locked in two players, Colin Gillespie and Jordan Goodwin. Gillespie agreed to a four-year extension worth $48 million, while Goodwin signed a three-year deal worth $19 million. Both contracts are described as relatively low-value.
Other players who could still sign extensions include Trae Young, James Harden, Kris Middleton, Kristaps Porzingis, Fred VanVleet, and, with a lower probability, LeBron James.
